>>94356369>So what constitutes a "good" fanbase?
Do you really want me to listen every positive trait a person can have online when arguing? I listed what's bad about it to prove its a bad fanbase. If I wanted to say its good I'd have done the opposite. The only good traits I can think of are the standard fanart/translation communities every weeb fanbase has.> You bring up the poor translations but people laughing about ABAJ isn't anywhere near on par with whatever the fuck >>94347337 is.
When memes overtake actual discussion and analysis then they stop being a good thing. The fact that there's something worse is irrelevant. You don't prove something good by saying another thing is worse.>Granted, people tend to fellate the series>tend
Nigga, they often bring it up as one of the best things to ever happen to the manga medium when in reality is just a decent shonen(or seinen after Part 7).>but saying that the fanbase was bad back then because "it didn't address the series' faults" isn't close to on par with what it's become now.
That and the memes. As I mentioned, I literally started reading jojo because I fell for the HnK meme, long before the anime was announced, in fact, before the Part 1 movie was announced now that I recall. Who do you think started that shit? And every mention of it was either memeing or fellating. It wasn't a good fanbase. What it has become now is just the same with more people, which, obviously, means more cancer. But nothing of value has been lost, which is my point.
