>>94163873>It's more that comics and cartoons have COMPLETELY separate audiencesThat's completely untrue and dangerously ignorant.
Just as there are people with interest that wane towards solely comics or solely cartoons there is gigantic crossover between the two through the ages, and some of the best times comes from people mixing those interests. There's tons of comics out there and /co/ talks about quite a few, even outside the "capeshit" and "somehow unrelated" live-action that people love to complain about overrunning the board, and these comics can often be seen as inspiration for the cartoons we've seen and will continue to see.
If "very few people here actually read comics", it's more likely because the board keeps falling prey to easy shitposting and crossboarders pushing /v/ tier mentalities like "boards are the worst at discussing their own thing", as if that's supposed to be the norm, and people not needing to know anything about what they're shitposting about to easily bait people. That and lack of ease of access where the people who just come here passing by can easily google a cartoon to watch but can't as easily find comics to download or read online, like manga.
