Minions are popular so studios try to capitalize on annoying Rabbid-like characters for $$$.
Teen Titans Go! is popular so CN tried rebooting other cartoons with similar awful art style and worse humor.
Adventure Time was popular and there were many cartoonists creating pilots with similar vibes/premise to it.
And if SU is viewed as "good" by many people, including artists, and consider it as a top tier cartoon and strive to make things similar to it, then that's really depressing because creators should strive to make stuff BETTER than it considering how often it drops the ball.
