It was a good thing for Quicksilver and Polaris, but after House of M, removing Wanda from anything connected to mutants was for the best.

Even now it's been retconned as being Doom's fault, people are never going to forgive and forget. There's nothing good for her down that road anymore.

It's not as stupid as you think, anon. Other superhumans aren't a race, and aren't banding together in racial vigilante squads and terrorist groups.

On one end of the scale, other superhumans aren't demanding 'rights' and demanding everyone else change the world to accommodate them, on the other end of the scale, they aren't trying to take over the world in the name of their race and kill or oppress everyone else.

That's why people hate mutants and don't care so much about other superhumans.

Well, they currently have automated factories spewing out mutant-hunting killer robots. I'd say it's reasonable to demand that someone change that. It's rather disingenious to describe them as if they were the entire world apart from mutants, though.

The mind stone augmented her mind, telekinesis is a by-product of that.
She has her own power source, she's not powered by the Mind Stone.

Also, it's been shown that even Peter Quill, with part of a being as powerful as Ego in him, could not sustain contact with an Infinity Stone, yet Wanda and Pietro survived the Mind Stone.

We don't know what kind of experiments Hydra did with the Scepter, but we know they never removed the Mind Stone from it. Loki had prolonged exposure to the Scepter as well, that doesn't mean anything.

She can't really be considered a racially pure mutant.

To X-Men writers she is nothing more than a plot device who exists purely for the benefit of Magneto.

Magneto and the Brotherhood date back to the Silver Age. Organised anti-mutant militant groups don't start showing up until the 1980s.

Anon, no matter how much they may be kidding themselves, neither of them has ever gotten over the other or really managed to move on.

If Marvel can bring Ben Reilly and Bucky back, they can bring Wanda and Vision back together with a lot less effort. Doing so in time for Infinity War might even make them some money. The only reason it can't happen is Marvel being full of people who don't like or understand them.

The irony of this is Wanda and Vision are actually a truly "diverse" couple.

It's interesting to note how today's "progressive" writers see Wanda and Viz's relationship as weird, whereas their more "conservative" predecessors did not.

To be completely fair, Wanda made infinitely more sense as someone that isn't a mutie. She uses mostly magic, what the fuck is her mutant power? Magik's mutant power makes sense IN ADDITION to her magic powers. She uses her teleportation powers to go to magical ass places. Scarlet Witch's power has been so inconsistently written because no one knows what she actually knows versus what her mutant power is. She was basically a Deus Ex-level plot device during AvX because of this.

Quicksilver is a mutie though.

But Bendis and Claremont, who in 2004 and 2005 made all her reality warping powers "because mutant" (which made no sense) and various X-Men writers, who see her as a crutch/plot device for Magneto stories have repeatedly tried to erase Wanda's connection to the Elder Gods and the mystic realm.

Yes, their self-proclaimed True Fans are rather spiteful at what they perceive as a hateful racist attack on them, which is the fact that not as many prominent heroes all share the same race and gender.
