>>93875167> ATLA was pretty inconsistent on the damage of bending.Yeah but it never really crossed the line in terms of how you could use your bending to kill someone, even bloodbending wasn't used to kill someone from the inside, but rather controlling two people to kill each other.
The damage itself wasn't always consistent but the application of bending uses usually was, i.e no one using the very obvious methods with which you could kill someone with bending like they used in LoK.
> Most of the main cast was overpowered.Eh, in the cases of Aang and Toph, they had been training since childhood, Aang is the avatar, and in Tophs case, she had special instruction from the creatures that created their bending, so for them, being strong isn't really that much of a stretch.
Sokka spent a fair while training with a great swordsman, but even then they didn't make that much use of his abilities so it didn't feel like he was overpowered, and in Zuko's case, he was basically a jobber despite being trained by his uncle, until the point where, like Toph, he gained insight from the original firebenders and raised his skill level.
Katara is the only one I really have fault with, since she didn't really start training properly until the start of the series, but even then, she still trained for a while under probably the best water bending master at the time, as well as the fact that she had ample time to train during their adventures.
