This thread is pretty stupid because it's an inane argument between people who don't give a shit about the show, people with an extreme idea of what the show should be like, and people who feel the need to put other shows down because they feel that's the way to feel better about themselves.
The show has plenty of great episodes, but what you're wanting is these deep episodes that are supposed to be "daring", something that can be taken out of context and someone could be impressed with for being unorthodox or game changing, and while the show isn't lacking in bits of that, the show isn't like that. It's about getting familiar with established family and friends and the heart bringing them together, and the great episodes are the ones that stick true or play on that while being heavily entertaining and packing a lot in within the time. It's a simple show favoring comedy, heart, and relatability.
For something that you'd want, you'd probably favor episodes like "For Bros about to RocK", "House Music", "Toads and Tiara", the Christmas episode, "Pulp Friction", or even "L is for Love", and "Relative Chaos" all decent or great episodes on their part, but like
