Dumb idea but I'm a little stoned rn and fairly new to Hypercrisis.
Grant Morrison says Earth-33/Earth Prime is "our earth". However the Hypercrisis theorizes that we exist outside the Source Wall. Well, yes, from a metacontextual standpoint. (Also if you think about it, if the Hypercrisis is a real thing throughout DC canon, then that would possibly apply to the DC comics Barry Allen read about Jay Garrick. Making Barry Allen an aspect of the source wall in that way). However take those conflicting ideas and think about Quantum Superpositioning, shit like Schrodinger's Cat. Something can exist at any two valid states, but only be observed in one. That would mean that we as the reader are both on Earth-Prime and outside of the source wall, but perhaps can only actually observe events from one perspective. (That also means we feed into ourselves through out sheer awareness of our existence, aka "I think therefore I am").
But that would mean that there are a number of us that would experience crisis-level events to at least some degree, and some might not. If that were to actually be true, we would definitely see some weird shit going on, somewhat like what's going on in Rebirth. The thing is though, these effects actually do happen in real life. Think about the Madela effect, man. It's all different universal shifts that some are more and some are less susceptible to depending on their quantum state in the multiverse.
Apologies if this is confusing, this is just where I see us as the reader within the multiverse according to DC.
