>>93488228Does this imply that she is going to be a alcoholic slut like tony stark when she grows up?
I thought this was kind of cute, in a "kids are shit head" kind of way. Although I was hoping that this was a setup for her to be at least somewhat introspective by the end, because it feels like the narrative calls for it, but there is no paid off.
This is the problem with role models, I guess, you'll never have quite the adversity you will encounter like your model, but I felt this kid misinterpreted the usefulness of it. Not having to deal with discrimination is a privileged position, it frees you up to reach for greater heights because other obstacle are not in the way. There are things already enough of a challenge as it is, but nothing in the narrative seen to be of particular challenge to this person.
I didn't feel like there are enough "there" there to read more, but does she ever get something that's a real challenge? Does she ever have to fundamentally reevaluate herself and the way she approach things in the face of those adversities? Does she ever seen to have a real stake in anything? A lot of recent marvel offering just lacks any interesting character grow and conflict that drives it for some reason. The way in which character's motivations for heroic seen fundamentally backward. I hate to use the term vapid to describe it, but I feel like its appropriate since captain marvel 1 and mocking bird on.
