If it's anything like MvC3, Marvel executives dictate what characters to use. They "work with" the developers to pick them but at the end of the day it's Marvel suits picking what they want to advertise.

If Chun Li was in the marvel universe it would make sense her being a special agent of SHIELD rather than Interpol (at least the times when they are meant to be special law enforcement for the whole planet instead of just another wing of the American government)

We know 5 of the six dlc characters for marvel which means we know two seasons of dlc meaning it's unlikely songbird and black widow are even considered right now ESPECIALLY when he goes on to say season 3 and 4 are xmen and FF themed

For the uniformed the 5 dlc we know are based on the comic cover variants we are getting in august they are

Black panther
Deadpool
A defender rep
A cosmic rep
A Spider-Man villain
A Thor rep

Songbird and black widow do not fit

I believe rikki knows shit but he seems to be lying more

Solicits are irrelevant. Hawkeye and Nova aren't in the comics that correspont to their variants. It's a Spider-Man related character or a Deadpool related character (but not Deadpool) or stretching it a bit, a team-up related character.

"Game" is a bit of a stretch. It's an interactive CGI anime with the occasional basic fight.

But yes, it's pretty fucking great. I'm not sure I'd recommend playing it, but I'd definitely recommend at least watching it.

Capcom focused on X-Men first with Children of the Atom and X-Men vs Street Fighter, so they got more representation in due to that. By the time MvC3 rolled around and Marvel wanted to be more in charge of who gets in, Marvel studios didn't have the rights to Spidey, so there was less of an incentive to include any other character from his series.

It isn't a new leak, just an old one that missed only Nemesis and Gamora. It's possible that Capcom cut down characters from the list to make as DLC since they pulled it with SFxT.

Probably maining Hulk/Nemesis as soon as I get the game (not sure if at launch right now).
