Reminder that the rate at which new readers of the comic are being introduced to the comic is decreasing pretty rapidly, along with reader engagement.
Need some proof?
Generally, forums and art boorus are good indicators of both readership and reader engagement. Over time, the rate at which new users sign up should generally increase as more and more readers introduce the comic to their friends, or get more involved. However, the opposite case is true with Bittersweet Candy Bowl. We see that the rate at which readers create booru accounts decreasing, a sign of decreasing viewer engagement or decreasing exposure. Either one of those can be a manifestation of either monotony, where new content is not being uploaded quickly enough, or decreasing quality.
BCB appears to be a combination of both, where new content, although produced at a quite rapid rate (Suitcase has shown that up to volume seven has been drafted), is getting nowhere in terms of plot. Decreasing quality can also be seen through the move from watercolors, which require a high degree of planning beforehand, to stylized digital art, which is not representative of the skills of the artist.
But unique to Bittersweet Candy Bowl is Suitcase's toxicity. This drives away new readers, and have previously severely hurt the reader base on multiple occasions (those being the deletion of the forums, mass-banning of comments, and strict moderation of a dated IRC channel). These three things are slowly killing readership and are leading to declining rankings. According to Alexa, pageviews per user and time spent are both decreasing, which usually marks the beginning of the end for any webcomic.
TL;DR: Bittersweet Candy Bowl is dying slowly due to the lack of a appropriately paced plot, a decrease in art quality, and the toxicity of Suitcase
