Starlin's writing is very dull to me, which keeps me from wanting to dig more into Adam. What I have read makes him out to be a long-winded tool without any real distinctive personality whose favorite pastime is posturing at his butt-buddy, Thanos.
In both cases you've got these characters with top-tier, for Marvel, powersets, who just really don't seem to deserve them. Neither of them, based on my admittedly limited knowledge of them, is compelling enough to warrant the prominence and iconic status they have. They're just boring, so I feel like them being as strong as they are is supposed to make something about them interesting, but it doesn't.
