pretty sad that this plot point wasn't done earlier in the season, would have been great to see all of jack's allies appear much sooner and have more build-up then a dues-ex machina that was alluded to a single time.

Screenshot this for the final scene: At Jack and Ashi's reception everyone Jack has helped is there. The Scotsman is crying tears of joy as his brother in arms has finally found happiness with his bonnie lass. Olivia is the wedding DJ and all the ravers having a great time. Jack and Ashi take to the dance floor and a spotlight shines on them as they prepare to take their first dance as husband and wife. Olivia decides to play something special for the newlyweds. The song Stereo Love begins to come through the speakers as Jack and Ashi share the first dance not even breaking eye contact. As the song ends, Ashi looks deep into his eyes and admits her love for her beloved husband and whispers in his ear "Thank You, for never giving up". The series ends with the two newlyweds sharing a tender yet loving kiss and a tribute to Mako.

Finish watching Gargoyles. Never saw it as a kid, so I wanted to see why it was so popular back in the day.

I'm currently midway into Season 2 and while a bit dated, it still manages to be very good and entertaining.

I hope the show gets Remastered

I'd want the episode where Jack gets his sword back to be a two parter, so we could get a slower closure on Ashi killing her mom and I'd extend the scene of Jack being confronted by the gods. It just felt rushed being a single ep.
Episode 8 should've ended right before the kiss, but the love song would still play in the credits. Episode 9 would open with them kissing.
Also I'd make episode 10 a two-parter. But I'll have to see what the final episode has in store to decide that.

honestly as much as i love the dogs seeing them again after 50 years have passed bothers me not much for suspension of disbelief (is the future, different species, etc) but the implication that everyone is alive after 50 years and aku's future is still the same (not better, not worse) make it look as if the stakes aren't as high as the show want me to believe. but that's just how i see it

i guess so, im not against Jashi, or happy endings in general, im just saying that bad or sad endings ARE a possibility, given how things are and given how we know almost nothing about the plot.

personally, my definition of a happy ending given the shows logic, is that jack cannot return to the past, but with akus death in the future, it retroactively cleanses the past, even if jack cannot return he at least knows that the people in the past are safe and well, like if aku never invaded at all.

But in episode 9, as much as i hate to acknowledge the second half due to the Human Puppet trope, Ashi was alluding to a possibility that she and Jack could rebuild together after defeating Aku. Had Aku not had shown up, it would've established not only the Jashi ship as legit but also that they would indeed marry and rebuild at the end.

This season felt rushed and sloppy. Four seasons of wandering samurai then trying to cram all that lore with new characters and trying to finish the story in a single arc format which was never done before in this show with only 10 episodes was not a wise choice. I don't even think 13 episodes would fare much better.

Torrent it, I use Zooqle, add in a . com to it since I can't seem to find it in the google search engine by just typing the name. Then type in Samurai Jack, hit enter and search it don't click the series label from the typing drop down list.

Then click pic related to order it from new to old and wait for the new ep to show up.

Zooqle verifies the torrents before they are made public, so it might take a short time, a bit longer than when the mega shows up here, but it's spoiler free and the best bet

A lot of the stuff in trailers was either the best stuff or just lies just to get us interested. I wanted to see a bad mother fucker in the last of his days coping with his insanity and coming to grips with his life and his failures. I wanted to see a Jack so desperate to kill Aku that he waits in Akus toilet bowl waiting for him to be at his most vulnerable to strike. As Aku lays out an extra thicc shit we see Jack plunge into the deepest nastiest part of Akus asshole where Jack finds his father. We got a little bit of this for the first 3 episodes then around episode 5 Genndy just said fuck it I'm gonna bypass all this character development. Most of this show has been fortune cookie nonsense. Oh well, at least the show got an ending. 5/10 because only half the episodes are good.

You'll see, this season managed to make people worried about the future of everyone in this finale, and especially Ashi considering she could either die, live, get Casca'd or worse/better. Same with Jack, and shows how with so few episodes Genndy managed to make a character important to us, same with Scaramouche or the emoji dogs, which is DAMN HARD to do nowadays.

At the end, the important thing is to enjoy the last hype train.

It barely had any robot gore outside the first episode. It feels like the electronic guy in episode 5 was a missed opportunity too.
There wasn't any filler unlike the previous seasons and while others would say that it's a good thing, the previous ones barely had any story connections and were just filler for the most part unlike this season which makes it feel like a typical anime or TV show.
This is just my opinion though

And got them (Jack vs Bugbots, Jack vs Scaramouche, Jack vs Aku's daughters, Jack vs Aku'd Ashii).
I don't give a shit about Ashii, although they could improve her fight choreography. Srsly her, pilethrowing whole Ork army might be canon but just looked silly and lazy.
Same thing with notSpartans and Scotsman attacking Aku's fortress. I know Aku is the shogun of destruction n'shieet, but they could throw some cannon fodder like bugbots so we could see more satisfying clash of armies.

Now, here's the thing, for this season alone, I feel it's more people who "hate" the show due to dumb stuff which shit on any kind of discussion this show might have, but then again, it's a show that's going to end, so there's that.

Now, don't misundertand me, I don't really have a strong opinion on Ashi, but my main gripe is rather the fact that the show should have gotten at least 3 more episodes for the story to completely be developed and not feel that rushed.

But hey, maybe the real problem too is that /co/ loves their waifus and you shouldn't really come here to discuss a female character when shit like episode 8 happened.

I like ashi as a character. I kind of think she could have been better handled but I find her kind of interesting and I like her interaction with jack, though I do think they could have built the relationship aspect a lot better since up until the kissing episode they don't really hint at any romantic implications so it feels like they're more friends or mentor and teacher up until that point. If they kill her off though that would ruin a chunk of her character though since that would make it feel a lot less like she's a character and more like a plot device for jack to feel something since she already kind of borders on that a bit much. Jack still needs to be the one to kill aku though since that is mboth one of his end goals and there's symbolicness to him killing the literal demons that got him in this mess in the first place.

This season started off strong but turned to straight trash after episode 3. Here's what should have happened:

>Jack has been fighting for 50 years
>going crazy from his inability to get home
>Akus grip on the world is getting tighter

I'm expecting to be disapointed desu. I have enjoyed the season overall so far, but it feels like it really needed a few extra episodes to flesh things out. It felt a bit rushed. They only have 23 minutes to wrap up the entire series and the last episode ended on a cliffhanger. I don't have high hopes.

I know Ashi was born out of Genndy's fetish and that's fine, but she doesn't exactly seem like a permanent fixture. She has an arc that needs to be completed. She could survive, but I honestly think it's doubtful and would hurt the show if she pulled some power of love fortune cookie nonsense when logically she should be a billion times more fucked than Jack was when he swallowed a smattering of Aku phlegm and needed a whole convent of mystical lizard monks constantly purifying him to even slow down the corruption, and his own mental fortress out of everything he's done so far and his own family's love to break free.

Ashi has none of that. She shouldn't stand a chance.

I'm guessing if Ashi buys it, it will be of her own volition. I was honestly thinking JACK was more likely to die before it was revealed that the pair didn't do the nasty, now I'm not so sure. I don't think they'll kill off Jack without a living legacy.

Exactly. She'll probably sacrifice herself so Jack can kill Aku. Maybe she'll keep him in place long enough for him to plunge the blade through both of them. Or she'll take a fatal blow that was meant for Jack.

The point of Ashi's character is rebirth, growth, and freedom. But freedom from what, exactly? Her choosing to die to save Jack and defeat Aku would be an expression of freedom. A way of demonstrating her transition from mindless assassin to a person with her own thoughts and feelings.

But the fact she's part of the eldritch horror Jack has sworn his life to kill at any cost doesn't bode well for her survival chances.

Aku didn't kill Jack last episode because, without the sword, Jack is basically helpless against Aku. Also, Aku has an established record of preferring torturing those who defy him to just killing them outright (Jack's father, the viking king, the 3 archers, the random alien in e2 that calls him out). I'm guessing he's intending to broadcast Jack's torture and humiliation to the world, in order to rub it in.

I just assumed that since they're the weird biproduct of his goop the goop doesn't hve the power to do that but can be controlled by him. Kind of like its diluted and weaker, like rusted metal. Aku's like a magnet is to rust but the rusted metal isn't strong and can't really do as much since it's weaker and can break. Along with this the magnet's touch isn't as strong kind of how ashi was kind of able at times to fight aku's power or some bull that'll probably happen later if I had to guess.

The first few episodes are like the first three in season 1. It's better to take them as a movie. The quality dips because the budget starts to run dry in the middle.

It's not perfect, and I don't agree with everything Genndy did, especially not when Ashi is concerned, but it's still probably the best season I've watched all year, and it still certainly feels like Samurai Jack, and 13 years later that's a huge fucking accomplishment in and of itself.

Aku is evil, as in the literal embodiment of evil. He doesn't have a shred of good in his body, and probably can't even comprehend what it is. That being said, evil takes many forms, so he's a goofy motherfucker from time to time as long as he's still making people miserable/serving an evil goal in his mind even if the result (like telling children nursery rhymes to get them to stop liking Jack) isn't the one he wanted. So that means he's not just some mindless edgelord.

I guess that's why I love his character so much. It's not complex, but it's clever.

So this is no longer that related at all and it doesn't make much sense, but: Samurai Jack is what introduced me to liking oriental-type stuff, asian shit, and that eventually got me into anime.
