Nightwing/Oracle is nice because it shows promiscuous Grayson settling down with someone out of actual emotional intimacy, loving someone DESPITE their physical flaws rather than nailing more hot alien broads in spandex. The paralysis is also a good source of tension with Bruce and they can bond over their shared feelings of being wronged by Batman or left out, taking soldiarity with one another. Same reason it's good to have Jason around to call out the no-kill rule or the fact that they might get hurt isn't just a far possibility but in fact likely.
Nightwing settling down with a nice girl in a wheelchair who he wants to protect and care for is infinitely preferable to bats fucking his surrogate daughter/best friend''s child. He's got catwoman and talia as is.
