What are some shows that were made for shipping? Huge casts, with most characters having some connection with each other that the fandom can expound upon? Ever After High ending kind of left a void in my soul.

I don't mean literally, just shows that are perfect for it. The way EAH was formatted, with short episodes focusing around different characters, basically set up this huge network of people really fast, but since it didn't expand upon or develop most of these relationships it was basically just a framework for fanfic writers to build off of.

Not necessarily made for "shipping" per say, but the fact it had a large female audience thanks to its focus on relationships isn't unintentional. Even though I'm a girl and shippingfag, I couldn't really get into this one. When romantic subplots in action shows are explicit and get a lot of focus, they tend to be handled... Not well. Best to keep romantic implications to a minimum- gives people something to root for and doesn't risk dragging down the main plot.
Weird for me to say considering how pissed I would get when I was younger and shows wouldn't be explicit enough about romantic relationships.

I kinda love how no matter which way you see it, both options are incredibly gay.
1.) It was True Love's Kiss
2.) It was CPR so like the Grimm Fairytale she was woken not by a kiss but by someone giving her air to breath, because in the Grimm Fairytale when the prince is lifting her up to kiss her he stumbles and accidentally shakes the poison apple out of Snow White's throat and she just assumes it was True Love's Kiss and decides to marry him. Darling was so fun, out of all the characters they introduced later I think she brought the most to the show, only other one who comes close is Faybelle. I loved the way the show used her to play with gender roles and go nuts with the whole power princess thing.

The backlash to the kiss must have been bad though, I was so sad when she wasn't in Epic Winter. And she was barely in the last chapter too.

Well, Mattel kind of already doesnt care about MH, at least not as much as it did before the reboot.

MH originally was doing better than Barbie, and because Mattel cant let it's golden child take second, they shot MH in the leg with a vanilla-fied reboot and cheaper dolls, so Barbie could be first again.

I always thought it'd make for a good comedic episode of a day from Duchess's perspective, including trying to be a rival to Apple despite being a fan of hers under that prickly personality.

Seeing her trying to deal with the cognitive dissonance of really admiring Apple and Raven but also viewing them as rivals seems like it'd make for a nice character-focused episode for Duchess.

Particularly if it intersects with >>92132450 and addressing that Justine is one of the few students in the school who is both a legitimate rival to Duchess in her area of expertise and one of the only people in the school who genuinely admires her.

Maybe the line was in trouble before dragon games aired? But if that's true then that really pisses me off, Apple is a great character and it's not like they even committed to the true love kiss with how they were dancing around it. I've been a fan of Justine/Duchess but there's not much basis for it in the series proper yet.

I have found Blondie/Cupid pretty cute, although I always get this impression Blondie low-key has a thing for Poppy O'Hair (takes her as a plus one to an extremely exclusive party, refers to her in her diary at one point as "the hottest hair stylist in Book End", although I assume that's MEANT to be read as just emphasizing Poppy is good at what she does...)

There's a sound enough logic behind it given the two's life hobbies. It would make sense they would have to clash at some point in competition. Justine's also a royal and Duchess does want that for her self for a better ending. I'd say Justine/Duchess could work if Duchess becomes a better person.

Epic Winter does give that spark some shippers need, the rest is up to the fandom at this point.

Don't know if Justine can goes against villian Duchess. As an opponent Duchess is a good attack dog and Justine doesn't have Raven's resilience or Apple's influence.

Justine's best bet is Duchess's high respect for the sport. And maybe being adorable and creating a soft spot..

Now that the snow has settled what are your feelings on Briar/Faybelle? I kind of thought it was too easy at the time when Epic Winter came out but I was withholding judgment until I saw more interaction with them. But now that it will never happen I don't know how I feel. Faybelle having feelings for Briar makes sense to me but I don't know why Briar would like Faybelle.

Yeah I definitely feel it in regards to Briar liking Apple.

In the next movie Apple and Raven could became official, Briar is heartbroken, and Faybelle steps up to comfort and be a friend to her. And even if she went right back to being a bitch the next day it would change the dynamic of their relationship just enough to give some possibilities for the future...

While not a malicious being, they are fatalistic and the natural order of things is to be protected at all costs. Things that create disorder, even in the name of saving or improving lives, are to be punished for the hubris of challenging the divine plan. Someone that views anyone that knows there is a plan and tries to go against it deliberately is being both arrogant and selfish in thinking they know better than god.

They take no joy in smacking down those that create disorder but they are resolute in their purpose.

It is essentially the force in Ever After High, it is how which child is chosen for their destiny (as how Poppy is chosen instead of Holly), probably the bright magical light from when Darling kissed Apple.

It also seems to have a thing about trying to cause balance in the way destiny works: it forced grew Poppy's hair and shrunk Holly's hair, and personally I want to say is responsible for that "other Raven" in Way too Wonderland.

Even then, it seems to have a mind of it's own as it willingly dispersed itself from Poppy/Holly.

It almost seemed like this was going to be the new story line, a nice replacement to Royal or Rebel.
