Body tattoos are practically guaranteed, since if his outfit in the leaks is any indication, he'll be showing off his body.

Facial tattoos is not as certain. I like to think that since he'll have hats he'll also have different hairstyles and hopefully the infamous DAMAGED.

NRS gave Bane a version of his Big Guy mask so I wouldn't put it past them.

Pretty likely. If the pics above are anything, I'm expecting hairstyles in addition to the hats. He's also shirtless underneath that coat, so a topless Morrison/Leto Joker style variant should be workable.

I could see movie/show skins working like the premier skins where you select them from the shader menu and they just cover up the gear. That's how it would have to work for the show ones at least since they're probably using the likenesses and voices of the actors and it would be weird to change that through gear pieces.

You're probably right though. I wouldn't mind TV show skins but giving them unique voices and dialogue would be a waste of premiers in my opinion.

It always bothers me when fighting games remove characters between iterations in all honesty. Especially nowadays as they usually just end up being DLC that really makes them feel like Cut Content. It can be ok if they are replaced by a character with a similar fighting style or moveset, or if 90% of the cast are replaced.

I guess I'm just surprised by just how many cuts there seem to be in this one. And the Joker certainly shows that dying isn't a good enough reason to be cut.

He's made to look more gaunt and and decrepit than the normal. But look at nearly any comic book variation of him as well. They take the same basic design and tweak it to their own view of what the Joker is.

Things like Leto and Injustice 2 Joker ignore where the character comes from and create an entirely new character. You're the same kind of faggots who would defend TDKR Bane because IT'S DIFFERENT.

But it's fucking lazy is what it is. It's a hack writer who can't come up with something original and compelling so they use the name and selling power of an existing and popular character to push something more marketable to whatever dominant demographic they want at the time.

Hence the modern Joker and Harley are hyper stylized hipster versions of the characters that appeal to high school kids but aren't really Joker and Harley anymore.

It's hilarious that people will riot of Superman losing his undies but they fundamentally change characters like Joker and Harley and the contrarions have to come out and say IT'S DIFFERENT LEAVE IT ALONE.

Capcom's a bit more well-known both trying to jew out their consumers and scorning their fans.

One of the biggest and most infamous controversies was during SFvTekken where 13 characters were locked on disc and sold as DLC. After some fans managed to hack their games and play as them, Capcom began criticizing their fans and calling them "entitled" and all kinds of other garbage. WB is bad too, but NRS has always had good relations with fans typically sell "complete" fighting games with DLC created and added on after release rather than being on-disc and paid to unlock.

UMvC3 added 12 new characters plus new features, modes, and a complete re-balance for $30. DLC releases were planned for people who already had vanilla MvC3, but the goddamn earthquake made that a headache so Capcom scrapped it and went with their tired and true rerelease method.

Furthermore, consider what Warner tried to pull with the PC release of MKX. "Oh, what's that? You bought the full game AND paid for the season passes? Well, we're not gonna give you the second season of DLC. It's too much work." It took almost a year of internal bitching, boycotts, and the Netherrealm boys doing the work themselves for that to happen.

And lastly, UMvC didn't have Megaman.

UMvC3 was 40 dollars on release, not 30. Plus you still had to get Jill and Shuma separately, plus all the costumes being separate DLC.

And for MKX on PC you could only initially but the first kombat pack. You couldn't buy the MKXL version until they eventually ported it to PC.

I don't think Capcom makes the effort to "understand" their source material so I think it's a bit of a moot point. It's generally just plugging in templates for them no real variation or huge fanservice and attention to detail.

NRS on the other hand kinda have their own way with the characters a bit (Look at this garbo ass Joker we got) but they also really go to the extra mile when it comes to all the research and fanservice they do for the characters.

You can sort of piece together something from his dialogue with Superman, but there's really nothing revealing about his role in Injustice. It's all just generic traits of Zod character: A Kryptonian megalomanic who was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone, but some how got out. His appearance in the game is not even canon to the larger continuity.

Well these videos aren't meant to be gameplay reveals for him or Joker, they're showing off the multiverse mode. Joker and Darkseid aren't even playable in that build they're showing off, but they can still show up as opponents. They also probably weren't supposed to be shown to us yet considering that the initial Joker video got taken down.
