Years later, they do the Archie wedding story and it gets my interest. Grab that and enjoy it, so I start picking up the digests again. Tons of stories from their history. Great stuff. Still getting digests and their current output.
The "classic Archie" stuff from the past 15 years or so isn't the best, but the DeCarlo etc. stuff from their biggest years is great. They started playing things TOO safe and sanitizing it. Not that it was adult or very risque, but it just became so vanilla that there weren't even any jokes anymore. It became "hey here's the new minority character!" type shit.
