It's enjoyable, has some really fun stuff like Plastic Man being used A LOT more than expected. Don't expect great plots, but it's a fun action show with some really enjoyable character interactions.

Yeah you can tell that they were pretty much given the budget more suited to a wacky comedy instead of an action show. CN probably just wanted them to make TTGo Justice League Edition.

Thank God that didn't happen. They did a good job simplifying the character designs in a way that makes them easier to animate but still keeps them looking good. I actually really like this sleek Timm inspired visual style. It's no Max Fleischer's Superman but they've done a good job stretching the budget.

FYI, they had a panel at Wondercon. They aired two new episodes, Forget Me Not and Garden of Evil. The latter has a fight between Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy.

The SM/WW ship was only in one episode and was never mentioned again. Romance is definitely not a focus in the series so it ships are virtually never present.

It's extremely good, but the animation quality varies from very good to acceptable. The only bad episode was Repulse, and even then it would have been good if they removed the shipping aspect and only focused on the main plot.

Oh, Bruce has HIT that, there's no question of that. At the very least they probably got intimate when Bruce was training with Zatara.

He's just never wanted to commit, even though Zee's honestly probably the best fit for him as far as a healthy relationship goes. It doesn't have the storytelling heft of BatCat, but what happy relationship would?

Seriously? There's a shitton of kids programming on Netflix. It's primarily what parents use when they want to plop their kids in front of the TV and keep them busy for hours and hours. If anything kids programming is what these streaming services are trying to get the most of, since that's where most of the binge watching is happening.

I don't think she can turn him back. The circumstances of his transformation are pretty vague since that Zatanna run was tragically cut short by New 52 and we never got to see how he actually became a girl. Maybe that's a story they can tackle in JLA if they decide to use the character.

I mean Dini is writing on the show so he probably has Mikey's backstory in his mind. I'd like to see how it happened.

Not really.

Fans pretend it's similar to Batman: the Brave and the Bold because I guess the tone is similar and there's some fan pandering but it's really not even close to the same level of quality.

If you'll be happy no matter what with poorly animated short films starring DC characters then you'll enjoy it.

This series is just so much fun. They think of great situations to put the characters in and they treat them right. Even with all these clips I've posted there's so many more that come to mind. Firestorm has great moments, I was surprised by how much I loved his antics since he looked annoying in the trailer. Zatanna and JL Dark stuff is great too.

The humor is actually pretty good. I'm genuinely surprised. Those Batman: Animated Series references were awesome too.

I'm also surprised they got Kevin Conroy to do Batman. I thought he generally only did serious roles. But then again Conroy also played Zurr En Arrh Batman in Brave and The Bold so maybe he just knows what roles to pick.

I honestly have no idea what determines if Conroy does Batman's voice or not. He played him in the Arkham games which is cool, but not Arkham Origins. And I know Origins was a different studio, but did they not ask him? Did he have a reason not to want to?

And then there's the DC animated movies where he voices Batman sometimes but not always.

It was my first time watching the show. They played the memory loss episode and then that episode that you posted. Swamp Thing goes on a blind date with Poison Ivy and gets mind controlled. Harley Quinn helps out too so that Vixen has someone to fight. The idea of Swamp Thing as a bachelor was pretty ridiculous. The producers seemed upset that they can't get the US releases to be as smooth as the overseas releases. They also mentioned at least 6 future episodes involving New Gods

Honestly, this show is fucking great. I consider this to be the true successor to Brave and The Bold. It's funny, the fight scenes are smooth and all the references and cameos are fun.

It feels good to have an actually good DC cartoon again. I hope this show sticks around for a while.
