>>91213413Here's the fact:
Caring for a child with autism is more demanding in many ways.
That child may or may not ever be able to realistically care for themselves depending on where they land on the spectrum.
An autistic child may never even truly understand the extra care that they need from their caregiver.
That extra burden is especially taxing on parents who do not have many resources available to them.
This organisation helps address that.
Here's another fact:
A gay person can reasonably be expected to care for themselves, and function autonomously.
A gay person ostensibly does not need any special support beyond "cool, you are romantically attracted to people who have the same genitals as you"
The reason gay support groups tend to provide support for those youths directly is because the ones who need that support have lost the support of their primary caregivers for being gay.
You cannot equate the two. Both need fundamentally different things, and as a result the non profits that have grown around their needs offer different things.
I am unapologetically an sjw by most of 4chan's definition, and I'd be willing to change my opinions on this matter of you could change my understanding of it but as it stands your argument doesn't seem founded in reality, it seems to be mostly emotional
