Hm, sure. You may want to enter with a little caution if she's easily spooked or if sad things make her really upset for a long time afterwards, but if you don't stop watching halfway through, things mostly turn out okay in the end. It may be kinda boring if she can't tolerate films from this era. Other than that, I'd say its age appropriate.
