>>90892953AT handled its background characters much better than SU though. Personally, I wish it was more like Star Vs. where you can see development of background characters between episodes, but only if you look for those details.
Also I feel like with SU there was the idea that human characters would become much more important later on, but that never developed. What the fuck was the point of showing us the human-sized weapons and armor in Rose's room if there was no chekhov's gun to fire? I thought Lars and Sadie would be redeemed and be likeable characters by now, and that Peedee would be friends with Steven and Connie (and not look like they're fucking 10 years old still),b and that they would all have some stake in gem empire stuff and become more involved.
But no, human characters are reserved for self-insert masturbation and cruel fourth-wall jokes. If you're not Greg, Pearl, Rose, or (sometimes) Steven, you can fuck off because you're never going to be an interesting character on the show.
I wish Ian JQ was still on the show. Rebecca is too libertarian of a show director and all the storyboarder drama shows it.
Fuck, I'm angry about that show. They had something special and trashed it in one season. At least I'm reminded that Daron Nefcy is competent.
