Back in early 2015 she said she didn't ship Marco and Star, seeing them as "just friends," and some fandom people got annoyed, as they do. Unclear then if she knew Star would eventually be written to have a crush on Marco or if she's unhappy with that development now.

She also doesn't really respond to fans asking about the show on Twitter, make posts about it, or really interact with the fandom in any way besides showing up to panels at Comic Con and such. There was one time where Disney/Daron announced that Daron, Adam, and Eden would be answering questions on Twitter about Star Vs., and although Eden was advertised to be doing it like half an hour before it began, she never showed up.

It's pretty understandable if she just doesn't want to go down the fandom rabbit hole, and of course she has no obligation to at all. But compared to other people it does sort of give off the impression that she doesn't particularly give a fuck about the show, whether that's true or not.

Her work as Star is legitimately great either way.

I marathoned this at a suggestion. Holy shit, this show is really enjoyable. It's the perfect blend of comedy, light-heartedness, drama, and lore. Really like the characters and world that was built. Favorite character is definitely Ludo. Ludo-centric episodes leave me rolling.

As far as shipping goes, I started of Starco, but now I'm team Jarco for life. Star and Marco just seem like they work better as friends, and anytime romance is introduced between them, it feels forced. Jackie feels like she's good for Marco, that and he loved her forever. I'm happy for him. I kinda regret the Blood Moon thing binding Star and Marco's souls, because of that, but I'm sure that sub-plot will be resolved.

What the fuck is up with the unicorn in Star's wand and what did it whisper to her? Also, where is Brittney, she just up and disappeared. So who is Eclipsa to Star, and is she alive?

Mostly dropped like Ferguson and Alfonzo. Star has drawn a lot of comparisons from other characters with her, on the basis of her sky-high magic powerlevel, as well as sympathy for monsters and taking to Eclipsa's spells very well.
In "Crystal Clear" we see Eclipsa hidden in plain sight among the monsters that Rhombulus has frozen in crystal over the centuries. It's been established his powers are weakening since magic is "on the fritz", so there's a lot of speculation about her breaking free in the finale, and whether or not Toffee is actively planning to do this.

There's something that really touches me about the way he's struggling to become a better person and defeat his mental issues.

Like the time he confessed to Star about how he'd tried to manipulate her through Mr. Candle. He knew it would make his crush-ex who he's trying to win back really upset with him and seriously hurt any microscopic chance of getting back with her, his no1. goal - but he realised he'd fucked up, realised he was hurting other people out of selfishly pursuing his own goals, and did the right thing, owned up to his actions and tried to fix them.

I wanted the Spades character to be the dark version of Star before Eclipsa showed up (I was imagining a girl her own age but with essentially the same design, and the personality you described too), but now I think she's going to be slightly misunderstood. Does dark magic, not totally good, but not a villain either despite probable associations with Toffee.

But then I'm still expecting Toffee to be the series' main villain, I guess since he was around in the first season and so it fits to defeat him at the very end, and Eclipsa to be his...mentor? Idol? Something.

It was more the short dark hair and red cheek markings than Eclipsa's exact outfit that were similar. Daron had said something in the first season about the staff considering an "evil Star" and so I thought the unknown Spades character would be it-- I guess Eclipsa still is but not so directly.

I was expecting the Spades character to be a granddaughter of Miss Heinous, so in Star's family tree despite not being in line for the throne.

Based on how much the crew are hyping it up and what we've seen in the promos, as well as how well the season ending in horrible emotional torment for Star would work narratively, I think that it'll be a neverending car-crash-cringefest ride of pain and suffering and by-shame and even more cringe.

Maybe it won't go just how we think it will, but it'll be insanely awkward.
I have no idea how bleak the season ending will be tho. Will we go into the hiatus with the cuckengines revving, SS Jarco stronk and Star either emotionally or physically (or both) broken somewhere? Cast in a dimension hole sans scissors? Moon dead? Marco lost? Eclipsa out? Toffee back?

Well, since we can't post images, how about we all instead post what we hope will happen in the season finale? Personally, I'm hoping for it to go full on Empire Strikes Back, with the bad guys fully taking over while all of the heroes suffer one way or another. It'll make them ultimately coming back in season three and beating the Forces of Evil all the sweeter, especially if it ends with Toffee genuinely losing rather then it being all apart of his plans.
