There are more Beyonders besides THE Beyonder and they sought to destroy the Marvel Multiverse for SCIENCE by planting an alternate version of Molecule Man in each dimension that would explode on command and take out their respective universe.
In order to avoid beings powerful enough to interfere from interfering the Beyonders themselves went on a killing spree of cosmic powerhouses like the Living Tribunal and the Celestials, whom you see in this comic as being on the brink of extinction even after the universe reset (the Beyonders' plan ultimately worked but thanks to Doom and Richards they were able to bring the destroyed Multiverse back in its '8th iteration')
In the reset multiverse, the Ultimate Universe no longer exists and the 'Ultimates' have changed terms to refer to a new team of Earth's stronger cosmic tiers working together to fight problems bigger than the solar system, first of which was finding a cure for Galactus' eternal hunger and making him a well-spring of life energy rather than a consuming vortex of it.
But Order and Chaos didn't like the changes to the status quo and, since the new iteration of the universe' hierarchy is still in dispute, were able to kill the Living Tribunal (again) and fuse into Logos so that they could force Galactus back to the devourer he was.
