Man I remember back in 2012 I used to like his stuff on The Escapist, guess I've really grown as a person. I don't mind all the progressive shit or passing the torch to new characters but I still think Marvel is doing it wrong. I don't care that a character is black or gay or whatever, I care that they're actual characters and not "Thor but hes a woman now".
I still go back to the best version of this, Renee Montoya becoming The Question, you have a character who first started in Batman The Animated Series, who went into Gotham Central, and then she was in 52, as a drunken mess who gets her life together by helping the Question and carrying his name after he dies.
That is a fucking character arc, spread over years, and I understand that Marvel might not want to do that but shit, their version isn't much better either. I mean, why would they introduce Rhodey's niece , who's shown to be an intelligent engineer in her like, 6 appearances back in 2014 and just make a OC donut steel character Riri Williams
