>>88413044>Pizza ThingIt wasn't exactly bad; just felt pretty standard in terms of Marco and Pony Head clashing but then being on the same side at the end. Didn't feel like it really added anything to their dynamic and, while it had some decent jokes, there wasn't really anything that'd make me want to rewatch it anytime soon.
>Red BeltThis one was better and had some foreshadowing/character development stuff, but there was so much random focus on "lol isn't marco's sensei a manchild" that felt like it came out of nowhere. It's okay I guess; there have just been so many better episodes.
>Banagic IncidentJust Star's cluelessness pushed to an extreme and her running around acting hyper with no Marco to balance her out. There have been other episodes where they're separated but Star's usually not as annoying as this. Marco's subplot felt like it added nothing too. It just didn't feel right for this series to me.
I thought Star on Wheels had really good, fast pacing and made use of side characters like Glossaryck and Oskar in a way that worked well with Star and Marco. It's also a dumb situation, but to me Star feeling betrayed because Marco let go of the seat without telling her is funny while still making some sense for her character. The invisible goat stuff was kinda dodgy for me but everything else was great; even the song seemed like it was supposed to be stupid as a means to inadvertently piss Marco off.
I've seen some people complain about how the bike should have stopped eventually, but Star Vs. is a wacky cartoon, it has always been one, and something like that is perfectly in line with the show.
But in general I wasn't huge on some of the early episodes either.
