>>88318213>"BTW Jim was a bad man, you don't know why but trust me"He is literally a nazi by another name. He was only ever kind to Sarah, who was a fellow nazi.
>Kirbee is admittedly the current chosen one of the authorYep. He's definitely in love with her.
>Ramblings how he does something new and creative in the webcomic as an proof that he's right and readers are wrong. He has a lot good points but he seems to be getting a bit ahead of himself. It is his story and he shouldn't change out it of fear of alienating the readers but he should also listen to what could be useul warnings about his storytelling not being entirely effective.
>>88318513>Original ending was more interesting and betterI agree. It was surely more dark and full of despair but also more genuine. He also cut a lot of moments that would've made more sense of Holly's actions and ultimate fate.
The problem seems to be that he's juggling with conflictive ideas. He wanted to tell a story where a beloved character breaks down and disappears, no matter how much people loved her, to simulate how it happens in real life. At the same time, he introduced a character that represents a concept he loves and wanted her to be likable. -At the same time- he was trying to salvage other two characters that depended on the first one. He bit off more than he could chew and ended with something not quite effective.
Another factor is that he trusts too much on his own judge of character. He thought people people would hate Wally and Chic for not managing to save Holly instead of sympathizing with their tagedy and flaws. He thinks people understand Holly and Kirbee's actions and motivations better than we actually do, maybe overestimating both his readers and his own ability to portray them.
Let's be honest though, you don't like that version because it doesn't have Kirbee.
