I mean, I believe in toy sales. Shit has to be GOOD to sell toys. Quality. cool in some way, inspiring, and fun. The problem is toy execs are even worse than TV ones, and they're also basically trying to get away with not doing their job, so they can blame the TV guys for not promoting their shit enough. it's a whole damn cycle of shit right now, no personal responsibility, no passion for your work.. and all of us would SO much rather be the ones in charge
and every so often, some of us are. the current creator-run storyboard-driven post-2009 CN shit is very much me. I've heard these guys, they're me if I'd stayed in california basically.
unfortunately there's a downside to that. No business sense, no social skills. When they get too stressed they don't suck it up, they crash. or they DO suck it up and then they have breakdowns. our cartoons right now feel very unshielded, coming right out of the creators' throbbing cocks right into our mouths.. but the desensitizing condom of the past kinda made them last longer
