>>87651629Nah, there's plenty of other great stuff:
>Season 1 has legitimately great animation for the most part, even when it's a mediocre episode it has that "Toei sheen". The Dinobots' introductions are especially good old fashioned super robot violence, and The Ultimate Doom is an awesome multiparter with huge stakes and still, to my contrarian opinion, the single best Transformers "movie".Season 2 is when the writers' room let just about anything go in order to fill out the episode order, but in a good way - most episodes are memorable in one way or another, you've just got to keep a sense of humor and accept that the sense of stakes season 1 had its peaks will never return - except for a mid-season multiparter "Megatron Master Plan", which is pretty goofy but still makes more sense than the Bay movie it and The Ultimate Doom inspired. The back half has lots of unique or otherwise significant stuff like the original "origin story of Optimus Prime", the first female Transformers and Alpha Trion's debut, the Key to Vector Sigma story which influences BM, TFA, and Prime and is the first story to actually make the creation of new TF life/product a big deal/plot point. And even the goofy one-off episodes are really memorable, like the one where Starscream and Soundwave open a nightclub, or where Astrotrain sets himself up as the god of a primitive planetoid and Jazz has to teach aliens about atheism, or the one where a British big game hunter stalks Optimus Prime.
Season 3 is actually legitimately good. I won't spoil anything from there, just know that the animation quality generally becomes even more of a toss-up - when it's Korea-bad, it's BAD, but the episodes done by the GOOD studio, it's
Obari as fuck.
