Rucka never had full control, he just writes the main book. Grant Morrison is writing Earth 1, others are writing Trinity and JL and whatever else she is in. Cho can write outside continuity or in it, Rucka has no say in it.

Repubs were in a bad state before the election. They got really lucky by getting Trump (who they opposed thorhgh the whole campaign) for them to galvanize behind. Meanwhile the Dems have largely been eviscerated and left without leadership. Bernie has stepped in and a lot of people are looking to him for leadership right now, however.

Both parties are teetering, but the Republicans are in a much better state right now than they would have been with a Hillary win.

He's a good artist but he would ruin Wonder Woman if he wrote her that way. Its a fundamental disconnect from what Wonder Woman has always represented even in her original runs. She has always stood for women's rights. Its part of why she left themiscyra and part of her core values as a character. Removing that is a knee jerk reaction to Marvel's liberal shlock and its just bad writing.

When she is written well she strikes a good balance between the two. I agree a lot of writers write her too liberal but completely removing that part of her character is even worse than taking it too far.

I've like Rucka's run so far. Its pretty slow paced especially by the standards of the other Rebirth comics but its still pretty darn good. I love the naive and young Diana taking her first steps into the world of man juxtaposed against a more mature and hardened Wonder Woman dealing with her past and looking desperately for a way home. Also Trevor is as good as he's ever been imo.

Lately Cho just seems like a meme super political people in comics rally around because he made fun of an admittedly really stupid social justice man. It's weird, because the guy doesn't even really lean right. Dude even voted Clinton.

I like Cho's art and especially his depiction of Wonder Woman a lot, but I find his statement that cape books should just be a simple "fight the bad guy" thing to be more than a little disagreeable. We've gotten good stories out of the medium that wouldn't have been possible if everyone thought that way.

Basically Rucka's book is actually pretty decent as far as modern cape books go, stop looking at everything through the lens of your personal politics and maybe you'll actually enjoy life.
