https://parahumans.wordpress.com/table-of-contents/The author has gone and finished another book and is far into his third one right now.
Its a long ass story that takes a lot out of you just through its sheer capacity to escalate non-stop from start to finish of its 30 Arcs. The story feels really organic and believable, the setting inovates as it goes dumping you with world-building it has been hinting at since early on. Characters are all in-depth because the author went in with the idea to kill any and all characters he wished, so the main character could be switched whenever he wanted, even.
And I can say, as a fan of young-adult novels and of some epics, that this is by far the most inspiring and inspired work I've ever read. The bullying sub-plot might be cringy to some, despite being based on real occurances the author helped kids out on voluntary work, but it is soon dropped, like, really soon, for other major stuff. The book presented me situations that shook my understandings of morality and how it is almost never black and white.
I recommend it because, in a way, it is, spiritually, what Homestuck once was, a well-built story with lots of love, passion and creativity put into it. And fuck me there is a lot of passion in Worm. And a lot of creative powers and creative uses to powers (see main character's seemingly useless one)
"The most powerful man in the world", the interlude with Bitch's dog viewpoint and the reveal and solution to the "final boss" are one of the most memorable pieces of story I've ever witnessed. You can read chapter 16.x (PRT Squad) with no spoilers to see how the story is a bit.
I feel like I have to space out this recommendations more. Feels like shilling. But I do this as a thanks for a HS fan that recommended it to me.
>>87435602Some powers are gory, or used for body-horror purposes. There's a good inovative reason for that though.
