the main problem is that because they were leads, they got the most screentime, and had the most chance to show off mutual care. now in hindsight they never did anything about it, but it shows the danger of of making characters interact a lot, they show off the whole reason leadxlead is so popular in the first place.

if he wanted to avoid this, he should have been more direct, he claims to have put "subtle" foreshadowing even in adventure 1, but if people are often unperceptive, and if you dont beat them over the head with the message they don't get it. people complain that its too obvious, but when you become to subtle no one picks it up, and then it becomes difficult to defend your position because leadxlead has a lot to work with, while others often only have the one "subtle" hine
