Watched it very recently on Amazon and I strangely liked it actually.
It's not good by any means, but for me it was enjoyably bad kind of like He-Man or 60's Spider-Man. The ghouls while having the personalities of cardboard still have a strange charm to them, and a lot of the designs and atmosphere of the film just worked for me.
That being said, I love the concept. The whole idea of a finishing school for monsters is a hilarious almost Addams Family-esque setup that I think a lot could be done with.
Fuck, it's a concept I would love to see done again. I mean, I know Toonspew’s been doing that project for a while, and not to sound mean but I can’t say I’m a big fan of what he’s done with it. Not saying I would do it better than him at all, but I would certainly do it differently.
Overall, the movie’s not good but I like it.
