Just rewatched all the shorts and the film for the first time in a couple of years and they all hold up quite well( except for "A Grand Day Out which is a bit rough around the edges). The 4 shorts are some of the comfiest 30 minute cartoons I've ever seen.

I need to rewatch the first three sometime. I'd probably say my favourite is Curse of the Were-Rabbit as well, if only because it's much longer. W&G suits being shorts rather than full length movies, but I was impressed that they managed to keep the quality high and consistent throughout the whole thing.

It's easily the one that provokes the most nostalgic memories out of all the shorts and it's a good short but it just hasn't aged as gracefully as the other ones.

These are the classics so it kinda not deserved to be ranked. Animation wise, yeah. Day Out showed its age.

I'd have to agree with your rankings, though I think a Grand Day Out should be removed. It's a classical piece, small in narrative scope but still as whimsical as every piece that follows it.

Wrong Trousers gave me nightmares as a child, I was afraid that one day I wouldn't be able to control my own legs. Now though, I realise I wouldn't be robbing banks, just wetting myself in a wheelchair, so that's something.

Everything they've released has been consistently great so ranking them is arbitrary. I will say that "A Matter of Loaf and Death" is underrated and somewhat underappreciated. It's just as great as the other shorts but it doesn't have the nostalgia to back it up and it usually gets shunned for some reason.

Shaun the sheep movie was better than A Matter of Loaf and Death (I'm not saying that as a bad thing just as a matter of fact)
AMoLaD was fine, just not as clever as the others, and sometimes annoying, not the good 'C3PO annoying' way

I can't rank them, but A Close Shave and The Wrong Trousers are the best. I also think it works best in 20-30 minute format, but I do enjoy the movie.

The movie has room for much more puns. You can still rewatch it and notice a joke that you haven't before. That was always one of the best things about wallace and gromit, the level of detail.
