>>86901450>I wonder if they've ever done one of those things where a writer comes to Marvel with a pitch, they reject it but take notes, then turn around and offer the pitch to Bendis as though they came up with the pitch on their own. One of those turnaround things.I don't know about that, but I do know the reason Darwyn Cooke never worked for Marvel again was that he threw a beer in Alonso's face.
And the reason he did that? He had previously pitched a kids' line that would be done by himself, J. Bone, and his other collaborators, and they never contacted him. But then suddenly either the Marvel Age or Marvel Adventures line was announced, and Cooke got pissed off.
By the way, have you read the Superman 2000 pitch? And then read One More Day? Did you know they considered erasing the Superman marriage by having
1. Braniac and Luthor teaming up and discovering that Clark Kent is Superman, and then revealing that secret to the world
2. Mxyzptlk getting involved because Braniac/Luthor team would threaten to destroy not only the 3rd dimension but also the 5th dimension
3. Braniac affecting Lois' brain so that she would die
4. Superman asking Mxyzptlk for help but he can only help in a mischievous way (aka erase the marriage so that Luthor and Braniac never learn Superman's identity)
Did you know that Loki was originally supposed to be the marriage eraser instead of Mephisto? Did you remember that Loki is the God of Mischief? Did you also remember that Axel Alonso was editing Spider-Man at the time?
Do you remember when Mark Millar got pissed off when he heard that the X-Men titles were going to do an X-Men and Blade vs vampires story around the time he was going to do the vampire arc in Ultimate Avengers X-Men?
