>>85351681>Wait what? Story on this?I attended the same art school that Rebecca Sugar, the School of Visual Arts. The school often tries to employ "working" professionals from the field to teach their craft. It has two senior animators that teach animation there, Don Bluth and the guy who worked on Popeye.
Long story short, the head of the animation department received "interest" from John K to teach. This was almost a decade ago, but the fact the idea was never revisited was telling. So the department head brought him in, showed him around the school, specifically, the animation department. John gravitated to the first cute girl over an animation desk and started to comment on her work. What he said about her work, I don't know, but it was obvious to the department head that John was trying to recruit the girl for his next project. And by this I mean, she'd be free labor, but it was obvious he was going to use "I'm John K!" to get into her pants.
So John was never given a chance to teach at SVA. The fact he hasn't been offered a job at Cal Arts implies he may have pulled something similar over there.
This is not new with John K. Watch some of his interviews or attempted promos, he always has a young female assistant with him. Howard Stern called him out on it when he was a guest on the show.
