>>85092958Yeah, she really wasn't that bad. If there's one thing I admire about what I've read from these guys now, it's that you really have no idea who'll die, and more often than not those deaths aren't fufilling - just like in real life.
>>85106971I reread the epilogue again - they menton twice that Coddie/Beauty had "retured from the world," so I think that was what must have made the spell no longer have any effect. Note how the man in unfazed as well.
>>85116823I'm so glad that Otto lived though, I totally thought he was going to bite it, so I was pleasantly surprised. When he got with Beauty I was afraid he'd turn out to be a dick, but I liked that he wasn't and instead Mab convinced Beauty to be an asshole instead. And then he became a badass.
>>85106420Claudine is definitely best girl, though I did like Coddie again when she finally realised what she was falling into. But ClaudinexOtto is the cutest.
>>85112889I agree. I saw one reviewer say something like "this is more violent and sexual than your usual fairy tale" and I was like ... did you only know the Disney versions? Old fairy tales were plenty fucked up and this felt right in place.
>>85108038>>85117219Huh, I'd forgotten about the Boar King's advisor. That was kind of an abandoned thread. I had imagined that he would end up helping Beauty get away from him and got together with the king, but that was before the whole tower thing happened and the Boar King went even more nuts.
And when I started reading I assumed that (not knowing how long the story was going to be) Beauty would've broken the spell when she was at the height of her power, realising Mab's plotting. Everyone would abandon Coddie again, except for Peter, and Coddie would realise he was there all along for her even before she was enchanted. Happy couple, the end.
Fuck I'm cheesy.
