Whats your favorite show to watch high?

What shows would you recommend to watch high?

I just finished Over The Garden Wall stoned and it was perfect. I'm going to try Steven Universe next

I get high all the time, but I fucking hate it. Everytime I get high I'm thinking "this sucks, I'm stopping" only to do it again the next day

Just like any drug, it's not for everyone. But if you do it again the next day obviously something's drawing you back in. In my experience it can be more mentally addictive than physically. You can get used to the routine of smoking real quick, even moreso than the effects.

Which I really don't understand, because it's a McFarlane show and Family Guy hardly ever depicts the effects of drugs properly.

I was the same with alcohol. Some drugs pull you in and turn out not to be for you. I went through a period where I would be drinking way too much, crying alone drunk, throwing up the next morning, and then drinking again that night.

Ironically, weed really helped me stop that.

Nah, they're just more entertaining and fun.

Most cartoons that stoners watch have a general happy or wacky vibe.

Basically same reason you'd watch cartoons sober,except you feel more involved.

My all time favorite stoner show is Batman 66. That shit is Gold. Everytime I watch it though, I l think of a modern batman series following the same basic plot, with the same interactions and half the time the same line. It would be BASED

You have obviously never been high.
It just makes your body feel good, improves your mood, and makes your thought process a little hazy (and makes music sound better). Comedies, action, and visually oriented stuff are easier to follow than complexly written prestige dramas in my experience.

Anyway, OP, I'd rec Chowder, vintage Simpsons, BoJack Horseman (kind of takes the edge off it), and SAMURAI FUCKING JACK

I feel the opposite, weed makes me feel so comfy and less depressed that I pretty much acquire it whenever possible/is not too irresponsible.
It's definitely not addictive because I've gone through stretches of getting consistently high every day for months at a time and then quit cold turkey no problem when I've needed to buckle down on finances or focus on a project.
If you don't like it, don't waste your money on it.

I like that a bit actually, lets me watch new episodes of things and enjoy them more and then I re-watch shortly thereafter and it still feels somewhat fresh. I don't think it blacks out my memory as bad as you describe though, just makes it a little blurry

Did you have any trouble following it?

I've only tried psychedelics once (mushrooms) but I had a very difficult time focusing on things outside of my mind, doubt I could watch a series and keep up with it on them.

Not the same guy, but I've tripped several times and yes I generally have trouble watching stuff because it distorts the screen a lot, usually I just listen to music or walk around and I'm not able to watch stuff until after the peak and the visuals start fading. Watched The Holy Mountain once, that was solid.
I do absolutely rec Harvey Beaks on acid because 1 hit isn't enough to give me open eye hallucinations, but it looks beautiful and is generally simple enough to follow

It's not about philosophical truths, man. When you're high you're more conscious of your mind doing what it does. It's nothing spiritual, but like in deep meditation (although not as effective), you're more reflective when it comes to perception.

Haven't smoked since February 2014, and Christ help me I miss it like its the girl who got away, but Wonder Showzen was my usual go-to if I wanted to laugh myself into a coma.

When you get older you will realize it's not a magic plant to worship, you just enjoy the feeling of being high. I find plenty of fulfillment in my life, I no longer turn to weed for a false sense of fulfillment.

Not to give the spiritual weirdos any credit because modern spirituality (especially connected to drug use) is a fucking joke, but you really could've used a less douchey way to say that.

If you like slow paced nice occasionally chuckle worthy magical SoL there's nothing wrong with the first 20 episodes. Some people don't for some reason and mark that as the point where "SHIT GETS REAL"
Sure, I think it probably does get better after that, but if you HATE the first 20 I don't think there's any chance you'll like the rest of the show

Fosters Home is on again at midnight on Boomerang so I've been watching that, the Flintstones was on before that and I watching that too. Sometimes Star vs Evil and Wander over Yonder are on late so Ive started to follow those on my own. Kinda sad Wander ended so quick, the last episode was kinda weird, you can tell Craig planned another season.

Personally I think the biggest problem with smoking weed it the smoking part.
I have asthma so I had problems when I smoked it, but it's been a lot better for me since I started using a NO2 vaporizer.
The one thing I miss about smoking it is the head rush you get from the smoke inhalation and coughing.

Mike Tyson Mysteries can be weirdly relaxing (Love the ending theme), but it's a little mean-spirited at times. When baked, I like being happy and comfy and child-like.

Starr vs The Forces of Evil is silly fun. A little madcap and fast-paced, but it works.

Not /co/, but Inuyasha while high becomes a much better show. The styoetelling is so predictable, but with a litttle grass, it becomes much better to appreciate the parts of it that do work.

The Maxx while blazed it a wonderfully delicious trip. Again, a little darker, but I find I appreciate the direction a lot more.

Ushio and Tora. That is some Adult Swim tier goodness, right there.

I can't possibly take Mike Tyson Mysteries in any way seriously so I always think it's really funny even though I generally tend not to like that sort of edgy/mean humor. It just does it better than most, helps that the animation and voices are great and the characters are likable.
The Venture Bros is a good D U D E show too, it's just a generally fantastic, complex show and it being a cartoon with instantly recognizable characters means it's about the most complicated thing I can still process when I'm stoned out of my mind

I had a similar experience once. I was watching a cartoon, it was maybe family guy, and the faces just stopped looking like faces to me. It was weirdly obvious that they were just lines imitating a mouth or a nose and all I could focus on was that.

There are hyperventilation techniques that get you high. Look up Wim Hof, there's a Vice documentary on him.

Other than that, I've had pretty good experiences with Tantra. No, you don't necessarily need a partner for that, you can use your hand. Essentially, just try edging for half an hour and while you're on the brink, go deep into the feeling in your dick area and try too feel it in your whole body until your mind does funny stuff.

All of this is an active high though, you can't watch cartoons while doing it. Maybe sexy cartoons for jacking off.

OP: The art style can be off putting at first. If you arent hooked by Cat Fingers it might not be for you.

If you don't mind spoilers I would reccomend checking out a later episode because shit does eventually get pretty real, and theres actual character development.
