There is certainly a plot to be written about Kamala dealing with not only being discriminated for being Muslim but also dealing with the radicalization that occurs in the face of it.
And I'm taking full on radicalism that pushes people into illogical and fanatical. The kind people don't get talked down from and have to be out down from.
Comics always seem hesitant to deal with the full thing. In a comic universe the odd gang banger would have powers, Radicalised individuals would have powers.
Has any comic dealt with school shootings in a super power universe?
