What the fuck did I just read?

Never read Marvel comics save for the first black and white issues of some series.

What the fuck is this? Why is it so incredibly bad? I swear I felt dumber after finishing.

I liked the drawings but who the fuck comes up with such a shitty and fast paced story? Is this for real? Is this "official" Marvel canon?

Is there any side-series on this event worth reading?
