>>84192774I was about to just post it without anyone asking.>boy is in middle school, kinda weird new girl is in his class for the year or transfers in>she shows a weirdly strong degree of persuasiveness and charisma in certain situations, but it doesn't make her the alpha bitch or whatever>boy talks to her early on, kind of in the way you talk to the weird kid once>for some reason or another she reveals to him that she is knowledgeable with hypnosis and its associated psychology, starts teaching it to himThe main hook, both narratively and fetish-wise, is that hypnosis is basically a means of more directly interfacing with someone's underlying feelings, thoughts, desires, fears, etc.; it doesn't turn people into zombies or even change their underlying personality that much. There would be plots where there seem to be hypnotized agents or someone's manipulating the masses, but instead of just smashing the brainwash-o-matic 5000 or what have you the protagonists deal with the underlying psychology being manipulated. The flattering way to describe it would be a mixture of Code Geass and Fillmore, with a touch of Foundation.
I might write a shitty YA novel about this instead.
