>>83924121I think the problem with Luna's episode, and I know I sound like a complete twat when I say this, is that it felt shallow.
Like it had a very causal knowledge of rock concerts. Stage diving, devil fingers, crowd surfing. It felt hollow. Now I know it can't go to the level of Metalocalypse in regards to drugs and violence, but it needed to be more grungy and scrappier.
The Simpsons Spinal Tap episode was a perfect example, mostly because it's fun of everyone. The band is betrayed as rich, raging, out-of-touch celebrities. The manager is a shady jerk who willing holds the concert in a drained hockey ring. The fans are portrayed as violet idiots who are moments away from a riot.
And to top it off, the concert is a comedy of errors that keeps building to the riot. The water patches on the stage, the half inflated lord of darkness, the house lightning malfunction that causes Spinal Tap to admit they don't care about their fans and finally the lasers that blinds one of the band members.
Meanwhile the Loud House's parodies were pretty weak. Smooth instead of Kiss. Nick Swagger instead of Mick Jagger. Even the Barney the Dinosaur parody was just Barney with an Irish accent.
What I'm saying is, the Loud House really needed to push it more.
Also, it needed more Zazz. Also, is it a common thing in America for concerts to make place in Malls? Seems kinds weird to me, since I'm Australian, so all our concerts take place either in bars or stadiums if you're big enough.
