>>83865110I get that, and if Pym was introduced as some rival scientist as early as Iron Man 1 (or better yet, if Pym was a main character in Iron Man 2---instead of the forgettable mess that was Iron Man 2) I wouldn't be defending Ultron as Tony's child.
But since 3+ movies preceding AoU went out of the way portray Tony's psyche in the neurotic, egotistical, impulsive mess that it is/was-----and the names "Osborn", "Richards", and "Pym" weren't even name dropped in any corner of the MCU(including Netflix+AoS, which thrive on the lesser known story lines) ----his and Ultron's characterization makes sense. Not in the comics, but in the movies.
But I don't want to beat a dead horse, AoU was a turd with small, isolated, redeemable scenes. I'm not denying the movie as a whole left much to be desired
