>>83853326No it's not. There's absolute no evidence gained by not texting somebody that could be brought up in any respectable court. The worst case scenario's shit. Best case scenario, you get raped, your friend calls the police ten minutes after you were supposed to text her, ten minutes after that the police get there to arrest the rapist and take you to a hospital. Even at optimum efficiency, there's an easy twenty minutes of dead air in which you're being raped.
You could install an app like 'Echo' which records an audio backlog to get serious evidence, you could use a force-actuated 911-dialer to get the police there ASAP, but nobody ever does that. Effective evidence gathering methods or effective rape report methods see almost no use. What bothers me is that women don't see rape as a preventable crime. As far as I can tell, it's because the women in question fetishize rape but don't want to deal with the serious consequences.
You said it yourself
>The only thing I assumed was that I'm not a mind reader, nor that I can fight off a grown man.you had a defeatist mind set going into the date. You clung to the idea that if he had tried to rape you, you would have been raped.
People carry guns in public so that if somebody tries to attack them, they can prevent it. People install house and car alarms so that if somebody tries to break in, they can prevent it. Women rely on friend-reminder apps, GPS apps, and local watch programs so that if somebody rapes them, there's a small chance of convicting afterwards.
I'm chemically addicted to responding to bait and shitposts, it's a disease.
