>>82623499Because it's popular.
Because its actually fairly solid, or fun or just enjoyable in general.
Because people raved about it for the first week it came out, so threads by people who were being deliberately contrarian get set up, and shitposting begins, because lets face it, it's not perfect, it has flaws. These flaws get exaggerated, someone creates a buzzword that all the shit eating fucks who legitimately unironically allow 4chan to form their opinions latch onto and bring up every thread just to be obnoxious.
People who for some reason feel that the only way they can legitimise enjoying something is by shitting on something else come along, and make comparison threads. Or bring up said flaws about other thing in threads about something they like.
More braindead shit eaters who, once again I repeat, legitimately unironically form their opinions based on what 4chan says see this and think "hurr, maybe [popular thing] isn't so good after all. I'm going to pretend that I'm intelligent and more refined because 4chan doesn't like [popular thing] and like fuck do I want everyone to think I'm a Normie. I'm a smart sophisticated person goddamnit, not like everyone else! I'm going to act like it's the worst shit imaginable"
2 or 3 months later and that's the party line on boards. Some are worse for it than others. /tv/ and /v/ spring to mind.
You can apply that to almost anything that comes out that is popular
People who justify their liking of something by shitting on something else will never cease to confuse me.
And no, I'm not saying no one should shit on anything, but look at this thread. people have brought up shit that has either has tangential relation to Gotham or fuck all at all in order to justify their opinion
