Boy, do I have mixed feelings on episode three. My favorite part of the show so far is Trashy, but he's also my least favorite part.
One on hand, this show is supposed to be down-to-earth and relatable. Lisa being a female Jimmy Neutron, instead of just a relatively smart child, ruins that, and that should bother me.
On the other hand, I think it's absolutely hilarious that one of the Louds created what may be the most important scientific breakthrough in history, but none of the other Louds, including the parents, gave a shit. They even abandoned him at the curb, because he's garbage, and garbage goes to the curb. Talk about cold.
They should continually have surreal, potentially-life-changing stuff occur in future episodes that ultimately get ignored by the cast in favor of the most trivial bullshit. That would be a great running gag.
"You can't go out tonight, Lincoln. You know that all first born sons are supposed to be dead."
"But mom, the comic book convention's tonight!"
"You just have to wait until there's another revolution."
And then the episode is about Lincoln trying to create his own comic book convention with his sisters.
That's not particularly good, but it is an example.
