The trouble is that it's ONLY a two-parter. Tirek is the sort of villain you have to build up over a season. We basically get no hint of him until the first episode of the finale. It's a waste.
Also, that was the season Hasbro ditched the Elements of Harmony, and fuck that. They may have been macguffins but they were GOOD macguffins.
