Good to see some discussion going on here.
I know this is autistic as hell, but I was thinking: The sheer logistics of running that city and all of it's frameworks, municipalities and services must be mindboggling. Think about it:
WHO on the force was small enough to fit into Judy's Meter Maid Mobile? Probably nobody. There has to be the SAME make and model for every size of animal. That's insane, especially considering fluctuations in staff.
And then the money problem. We saw Nick accepting tiny hamster dollars, but do we expect Elephants to accept tiny hamster dollars? Or bunny sized money? That's insane! And then thinking about a rodent carrying elephant sized money around with them safely as well?
They'd have to have different sized currency, but isn't it slightly unfair if you're a rodent, when you have money you can't safely use or take with you?
But speaking of unfairness, aren't larger animals given a raw deal when it comes to food stuffs?
A small mammal could eat for DAYS on what a large mammal has for lunch I bet. They're getting objectively the best bang for their buck, UNLESS the smaller animals are charged more than larger animals, but that is price discrimination. And then larger animals have to spend so much more on their food because they have higher caloric requirements. Smoothies (like in the train ride sequence) that are perfect sizes for hamsters are a small sip for Giraffes I bet.
And then there's the cellphones. We all saw the little hamsters and their cute little iPhones, but think about it! Those fucking things probably have like 3 MaH batteries. That means either Zootopia has some incredible fuel cell technology or they're getting fucked over by being little.
Maybe, they've got some sort of shrinking rays in Zootopia to combat these issues. Anyway, I'm sperging out over here. You guys have any thoughts on this?
