>>81062235>>81062455To be fair, he did have his reasons for not going and they made sense. The Demon World Tournament wasn't the usual "Koenma said we gotta save the world guys!" like every other arc before that.
I mean, sure Yukina's arc was just to save her but it did lead into the dark tournament.
Instead, the demon world arc was just Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei going there for personal reasons and Kuwabara didn't have any sort reason to go. So he just decided to hang back and work on his education.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Togashi didn't want to do that arc in the first place. He half assed it super hard in the manga so the anime team had to fill in a lot of things.
