Not that good a show, but I have to admit, the ending seemed to be foreshadowing something.

Everyone in the city having phones, everyone being addicted to would-be social media, Kitty screaming in defeat, the feels/tear-inducingly sweet ending music panning over a city skyline, and the fact that this came out in August 2001.

It seems this short could be seen a farewell to pre-9/11 (or pre-2007) optimism.
