>>81042677Legit question. Have you read Byrne and Birthright? MoS's invasion plot, along with this scene, verbatim, is ripped from Earth 1, the depiction of Krypton from Byrne, and miscellaneous shit like Clark wandering the Earth, hiding his identity, and the depiction of Pa everyone freaked out about comes from Birthright.
It blows my mind that there are people who take the time to whine on 4chan about how unfaithful Superman supposedly was in MoS, without ever being tempted to spend 15 minutes to pick up a Superman comic, just out of curiosity, and nothing else (this means the former is of greater interest to them than the later action of reading said comic is). I guess that goes to show you that beneath all of the feigned outrage, that there are a limited number of people who actually give a shit about the character.
At least the inclusion of Doomsday in BvS should peek people's interest heavily enough that a few of them will look into the story he appeared in; if nothing else, it could help distance Superman from the Donner films a bit, since Death of Superman, much like Snyder;s stuff, is so radically different from them. A lot of the anger in regard to MoS was about how the tone was too dark for a Superman story and that the film had too much punching. I didn't agree with that in regard to MoS, but Death of Superman really did have DBZ style pacing.
