>>80751066In my experience, the vegans I know don't yammer on about being vegans unless asked. But as soon as people find out they are vegans, they get triggered and defensive and try to debate them about it. "Bears eat people tho, is that bad?" etc.
The person I know who is most smug about her eating habits is my sister, who is a pescatarian (doesn't eat any meat but seafood). Her not eating meat has less to do with ethical considerations than thinking it's some sort of ingenious diet plan, even though meats can be excellent parts of a lean diet due to its protein (it's carbs that this part of the world needs to cut out).
She's always talking about how she can't handle sweets without being asked, usually in a passive-aggressive way to make people feel bad about eating sweats. And she seems to like to always talk about how delicate her stomach is and how she can't eat this or that food without feeling sick after.
She's also one of those people who says things like "sometimes I forget to eat." People who say that shit are always bullshitters. EVERYBODY REMEMBERS TO EAT, IT'S A FUCKING ADAPTATION WE HAVE BECAUSE THE PEOPLE THAT FORGOT TO EAT DIED IN THE STONE AGE.
